PROJECT
The Lempster Wind Project is a planned 24 MW wind power project near the town of Lempster, New Hampshire, located on privately owned land in southwestern New Hampshire, approximately 20 miles north of Keene and less than 5 miles south of Mount Sunapee. The Lempster Wind Project will consist of twelve turbines and will have the capacity to provide the annual electricity needs of approximately 10,500 New Hampshire homes. As the current schedule stands, the Lempster Wind Project hopes to become the first major wind power project in New Hampshire, and one of the first new wind power projects in New England in over a decade.
PROJECT SCHEDULE
The Lempster Wind Project is expected to enter into commercial operation during 2008. It has undergone final permitting, government approval, environmental and interconnection review processes, and has commenced the initial construction phase ahead of schedule.
PROJECT TEAM
The Lempster Wind Project Developmnet Team is working with New Hampshire's largest utility, Public Service New Hampshire to interconnect the wind power project to the regional electric grid. Ed Cherian is the Lempster Wind Project Construction Manager, and David Shadle is Director of Eastern Region Wind Development.
